The European Youth Award (EYA) represents annual contest for digital and social innovators younger than 33. This pan-European contest is seeking and rewarding outstanding e-content programmers, social entrepreneurs and start-up initiators by choosing and promoting the best projects in the fields of Internet and mobile technologies addressing the goals defined by the Council of Europe and Europe 2020.

The EYA international jury is seeking and rewarding the most creative digital projects (eg websites, apps, wearable devices, smart things or digital installations). The projects can be submitted in eight categories comprising such fields as financial literacy, e-skills and sustainable energy, while directly addressing Europe’s most pressing issues and asking for your solutions. There is also one special category for those whose projects are so outstandingly creative that they do not fit anywhere this year: Open Innovation!

The contest is open for all who fulfil the following criteria:

  • Creative minds under the age of 33 (born on or after January 1, 1983)
  • Living in one of the member states of the European Union or Council of Europe
  • Who have produced an outstanding, innovative digital project to improve society

You may submit your innovative projects in one of the eight categories (see here) until 31 July, 2103 the latest.
