Members of last year’s winning team of the ‘EU for You – E4U’ project today hosted Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, who visited Banja Luka to introduce the second round of the project. At the beginning of the conversation with students of the Economics Faculty and Arts Academy, Ambassador Wigemark was thrilled to see that when asked whether they wanted to stay in the country after completing their studies, a majority of  the150 students responded affirmatively.

“I am very pleased to see that there are so many young people in this country who are thirsty for knowledge and work opportunities. We at the EU Delegation to BiH are doing everything we can to offer these opportunities to them through this and other similar projects created for students. It is now up to you to use these chances and through your personal engagement become the driving force for change in this country, thus creating a society in which everybody wants to live ,”Ambassador Wigemark said.

The project has been launched through Info Days at eight public universities in BiH. These events are an opportunity for students to find out more about the project, as well as to meet with the project team and hear what is coming up.

Students from eight public universities, i.e. 14 faculties from BiH will, with the assistance of their mentors and experts, work on creating public information campaigns which illustrate perceptions of youth about socio-economic reforms, with special emphasis on education, employment and entrepreneurship.

Today’s was the fourth Info Day within the E4U project. Upcoming Info days will take place in Bihac, Bijeljina, Mostar and Tuzla.
