The EU Info Centre in Bosnia and Hercegovina (EUIC) seeks to recruit qualified and experienced employees for 3 positions of Administrator at EU Info Points in Banja Luka, Mostar and Brcko.

The EUIC, which was established in 2014, is a European Union funded project implemented by CEU Consulting. The EUIC’s main objective is to increase general understanding of the EU, its politics and programmes among the citizens of BiH, as well as to increase knowledge of the country’s accession process and its implications, particularly among students/youth.

The EU Info Points in Banja Luka, Mostar and Brcko are planned to be open in September 2016, extending the EUIC Network further and serving as regional EUIC offices.

LOCATION:

The EUIC office and conference room is located in the building of the European Union Delegation to BiH, Skenderija 3a, Sarajevo. A prospective employee will be working in one of the offices in Banja Luka, Mostar and Brcko that will be established during the summer 2016.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The EUIP Administrator will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the EUIP and for telephone inquiries. S/he will assist the EUIP Communication Officer and the EUIC experts in the realisation of their duties and cover for the EUIP Communication Officer when absent. S/he will have good understanding of EU-related issues, good computer skills, excellent customer care skills as well as a responsibility for creating and updating regional contact lists. The EUIP Administrator will also be responsible for all librarian duties of the EUIP. University degree is not required. Such expert will have to be familiar with information sources of the EU and institutions and the way they are used.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and one of the BiH constituent languages;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Driving experience will be considered an advantage.

 

General professional experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a field relevant to the assignment.

Specific professional experience:

This expert must:

  • Have good understanding of EU-related issues;
  • Excellent customer care skills;
  • Be familiar with information sources of the EU and its institutions and the way they are used.

APPOINTMENT DURATION:
From September 2016 to the end of May 2017.
