To mark International Day of Tolerance, an art exhibition known as “Tolerance” is hereby presented at Europe House in Sarajevo. The exhibition  curator, Mirko Ilić, a renowned graphic designer and illustrator, is presenting Tolerance in Sarajevo for the second time from the 3rd to the 20th of November 2023. The traveling exhibition has so far visited numerous cities in Europe and the world, and although it is intended to be set up in a public space, bearing in mind the character and dynamism of Europe House, the author decided to present Tolerance in this new space of collaboration and creation.

Tolerance, which has so far been presented in 176 cities and 40 countries, includes works by the most influential contemporary graphic designers from around the world who responded to the author’s call to create posters on the topic of tolerance, on which the word ‘tolerance’ is written in their native languages.

As part of the presentation of the exhibition, in the premises of Europe House on 15.11.2023, the author of the exhibition will hold a lecture and conversation on the topic of Symbols of Hate through a video link, so that students, activists, designers, artists and all interested parties will get to know the author’s view and interpretation of these increasingly prevalent and significant social phenomena.

Europe House represents a new concept of cooperation between the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina and contemporary authors who have an opportunity to exhibit their works in a gallery located in the heart of Sarajevo. So far, within this concept, two exhibitions of works have been presented as part of the international Sarajevo Photography Festival and the Green Route to Sustainable Tourism exhibition presented by the EU4BusinessRecovery project. All exhibitions are open to citizens from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.
