Our activities continued after the winter break with the organisation of visits by youth and high school students to Europe House and a tour of the Safet Zec “Prayer” exhibition. During January, in order to promote the support of the European Union to the creative and cultural sectors through #EuropeForCulture activities, we organised the first edition of the Europe House literary club “Booked” in cooperation with Sarajevo Library in order to jointly promote the successes of local and European authors. The guest of the first edition was Damir Ovčina, winner of the Mirko Kovač award. Also, during January, we started Photo BiH activities to promote local talents and photographic skills. We opened a traveling exhibition of 120 photographs in Mostar and talked with young people about the importance of acquiring new skills.

As part of activities aimed at promoting and establishing young people through #EUforYouth, we organised a BH-ing Hackathon and published an edition of our E2yoUth video series about the Europe House open days that we spend with pupils all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Emphasizing that #OurPlanetisOurFuture, in cooperation with the Embassy of France we organised a workshop and conference “On the road to European integration” to discuss challenges in the field of environmental protection.

Our #EUzaBiH activities included the organisation of Europe House Talks on the largest program of the European Union for the support and development of cultural and creative sectors – Creative Europe – together with program beneficiaries and future applicants. Together with the organisational team of the Diplomatic Winter Bazaar, we organised a ceremony to hand over donations (collected in December 2023 in the amount of 270,000 KM) to organisations that deal with the protection of vulnerable children and youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We also published two editions of our Did You Know?/Apply! infographics, announced a new call for projects within the EU4Employment program and highlighted the support of the European Union through the WBIF fund for more energy efficient solutions. We marked International Day of Education with an infographic about the European Union’s support to the education sector. We published an edition of our E2U video series about the renovation of the Center for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation in Sarajevo, and an edition about the activities of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska through a project within Creative Europe. We have published four editions of our closEUp infographic series, representing these member countries of the European Union: Spain, France, Croatia and Italy.
