As part of Europe House Presents, recognising collaboration with artists and marking International Day of Tolerance, an audience was presented with the exhibition Tolerance by Mirko Ilić. Ilić also addressed the audience via video link and held a lecture on symbols of hate, through which he analyzed hate speech in public space.
Traditionally, we dedicate the end of autumn and the winter period to the promotion of human rights. As part of #EU4YourRights, we celebrated World Children’s Day through workshops with elementary school children across Bosnia and Herzegovina to highlight the challenges faced by children around the world. We participated in the global campaign 16 days of activism and organized the exhibition Europe House Presents: Between Four Walls with award-winning artists Aida Redžepagić and Kristina Ljevak Bajramović, as well as journalists and activists, with the aim of promoting the role of the European Union in achieving gender equality.
As part of #EU4Youth, we organized STARfest in cooperation with numerous organizations engaged in the development of youth potential in BiH in order to promote European Year of Skills and support the development of young people’s careers. We also published two editions of our E2yoUth series with young activist Slobodan Blagovčanin and Ajša Beširević, graphic designer.
As part of #OurPlanetOurFuture, we organized a two-day youth conference Youth for Climate Change in BiH and discussed the role of youth in shaping a sustainable future.
Since the opening of Europe House, cooperation with artists through the format of Europe House Presents has attracted the attention of numerous schools, and we have organized school visits to our exhibitions, introducing students to the work of Europe House and discussing the importance of culture.
As part of #EUforBiH, we published one edition of the closEUp infographic on Germany. Through this series, we emphasize cooperation with the member states of the European Union. We also published two editions of #MyEUStory and one edition of an educational infographic on the results of the project. We also published two editions of Did You Know? / Apply! infographics about the new call within the European Film Challenge and a call for projects for European universities within the Erasmus+ program.
Thank you for being with us again this November! We look forward to continuing our friendship through new activities in December!
