Environmental protection, sport, mobility, culture and new skills marked our September!

We spent World Clean-up Day with elementary school students in forest adventures and treasure hunts. We also learned about the importance of environmental protection and the impact of our daily habits on our planet because it is #OurPlanetOurFuture.

During European Mobility Week, together with the citizens of Banja Luka and Mostar, we organised bike rides and numerous interesting activities to highlight the importance of sustainable urban mobility. We also published an edition of What Does Green Mean? on the topic of sustainable tourism.

In cooperation with EUNIC – the network of cultural institutes of the Embassies of the European Union member states – and partners from Banja Luka, we organised a celebration of European Day of Languages with numerous courses, quizzes, information stands and presentations in schools.

We celebrated European Week of Sports with young skaters from Mostar and Sarajevo to highlight the importance of this sport and  its community. We also published two editions of our #E2yoUth series with interviews with Džulisa Otuzbir, a Young European Ambassador, and Benjamin Ćengić, a young artist.

Showing the impact of the European Union’s support on the development of communities and improving the quality of life of citizens through #EUzaBiH, we published an issue of our Apply! infographics announcing an invitation from the Regional Cooperation Council to join the Balkathon competition. We also launched our #E2U video campaign, which presents the results of European Union support through short informative video materials. During September, we published five editions of #E2U with a focus on EU Organic Day, World Rivers Day, two editions for World Tourism Day: a) Natural beauties of BiH b) Sustainable tourism in BiH, as well as for European Week of Sports.

Emphasizing the importance of the common European heritage and the symbols, customs and traditions of each member state of the European Union, as well as the motto “United in diversity”, we launched an online campaign #closEUp, representing Belgium and Bulgaria.

Thank you for being with us again this September! We look forward to continuing our friendship with new activities in October!
